This course explains a complete backlink strategy that is designed either to be added in to your current strategy or else you can simply go through each method one by one, thus giving you consistent and diversified links consistently (exactly what Google loves).

I would suggest however to do no more than 1 strategy a day… or even better leave a few days in between each!

As a result this will give Google time to index your links and make them look more natural, instead of just blasting it with all fourteen strategies at once.

Honestly you really want to take things slow. Leaving a gap in between each method might seem like a long time if you are eager to get your site ranking on the first page of Google, but rushing things won’t bring you the desired results.

Even more so now a day’s google is getting tougher and tougher on spammers who build links 1 day and then don’t touch their site for weeks or even months after that… if you want top site rankings then you need to spread the link building out!

I will now present you with the backlinking strategies in the order you are supposed to apply them for the best results. This is the exact same order I use to rank all of my sites and my client’s sites and why change something that already works right?

I’m also going to go into full detail and show you the exact methods I use to do the backlinking and also explain the pros and cons of each strategy so you fully understand what you’re doing and why you’re doing it!

Now before we get started and dive straight into the strategies themselves I want to make sure you’re all set and ready to go. If you don’t have this part right then all your link building will either be wasted or your just not going to be ranking as high as you could so doesn’t skip over it! Please!!!

That’s it for now and I’m sure you very keen to get started using the Google Takedown methods to skyrocket your rankings, so now let’s get moving and kick start your sites SEO and start building some backlinks.

Another reason why you should consider marketing on Facebook is because of Facebook Ads, which are deemed to be serious competition to Google Ad Words (as if trumping Google as the most visited website isn’t enough!) At this point, Facebook Ads have an edge over Google Ad Words, not only because it offers more effective targeting (which will be discussed later on), but also because your ads will have a higher chance of being shown when you’re using Facebook ads versus Google Ad Words. Some have even reported getting their ads displayed over 100,000 times in a single day, which is a lot more compared to the number of times your ads will appear on Ad Words, which averages to only about 500 per day.

There are two kinds of Facebook Ads, the Facebook Ad and the Social Ad. Facebook Ads work pretty much in the same way as other online ads, and what you typically see on the right sidebar when you’re logged in to Facebook. Advertisers can make these ads link back to their Facebook fan page, application, or their own website in order to generate traffic. Social Ads, on the other hand, are intimately tied together with the activities of a Facebook user on the website, as well as those of the people in their network. There are three kinds of Social Ads: Fan style ads. These are tied together with Facebook fan pages. Once users “Like” an ad, they will automatically become followers of the brand’s fan page, allowing them to receive updates about the brand. This is a popular choice among established businesses, since their market already know who they are.

Comment style ads. These ads allow users to actually leave comments about it, similar to how they can make wall posts.

Virtual Gifts ads. Usually found on Facebook apps, this type of ad allows users to share virtual items (that bear the name of the brand) to other users.

Do note, however, that unlike Facebook Fan pages, Facebook Ads are paid services, which means you won’t be able to avail of these services unless you’re willing to shell out the money. However, this investment may be worth it, provided that you handle your advertising campaign effectively.

Having Facebook post your ad won’t automatically incur costs. Instead, your fees will be based either on the number of clicks you get (CPC) or the number of impressions of your ad (CPM). You will be able to control just how much you will be paying by setting a budget (daily or lifetime) so that you don’t end up paying more than you can afford. You can adjust the budget at any point in time.

Using the same WordPress theme on all of your aged high PR network domains is another area of concern when it comes to leaving footprints. There are literally thousands of free WordPress themes and there are WordPress theme membership sites where themes can be bought in bulk. There’s no excuse for using the same theme on any more than just one of your network websites.

The same applies to unfinished themes, take the time to either link the social media links to related social media accounts, remove the standard WordPress sidebar widgets and get a unique header design to match the site theme.

I see so many networks that do not bother taking any of these steps for their network sites and the owners scratch their heads when the network gets deindexed.

I can’t be any more clear on this point – make every blog 100% unique, finished and something that you would present to a business owner as their new website.

Some people say that WordPress shouldn’t be used on every site in your network but I’ve seen multiple WordPress-only networks in some of the most competitive markets online that have survived the 2012 Google updates – because they have been built in the way I have detailed throughout this report.

Using the same plugins across your network

Moving on to the plugins that are used on these blogs, remember that these blogs are only used to rank other websites and the goal is not to rank these network sites in the search engines for any particular terms at all.

ALL plugins leave some sort of footprint, therefore we take the safe option and deactivate all plugins on our own aged high PR networks. On some sites we will install random plugins , we do not have a particular list to work from so we just make it up as we go along.

Again the aim is for each and every blog to be 100% unique, this includes the plugins which are used.

The ONLY EXCEPTION to this rule is when the aged domain name has many indexed pages in Google that we want to take advantage of without having to produce content but more about that in the next section of this course.

Before the SEO strategy can be applied to this case study, keyword research must occur. A good keyword is judged on 3 different criteria.

Potential Traffic and Kind of Traffic

Competition

Potential Profit

Another factor that applies is the AdSense CPC (if you plan going the AdSense route). Regardless of the site’s purpose, however, your goals are to get the most traffic while having the least competition.

CPC (Cost per click)- Google AdSense has an expected price that they pay you per ad clicked from your site. During this case study, I located the keyword QTP Interview questions by first using the Google Keyword Tool.

QTP interview questions gets an estimated 9,900 exact searches and has a CPC of 2.54, making it a strong and good keyword. If I choose to go the Adsense route a profit of 500-1000 dollars would be obtainable (with proper Adsense optimization).

Let’s look at the reasons why I chose this keyword!

Very few of these sites are actual home pages- this means the actual site is not focused on this keyword.

The PRs for these pages are average to high. There are multiple PR 4s and 2s. This is not the optimum PR range for easy rankings. However, my page has an exact domain name match to the keyword (I’ll discuss why this is a benefit later). This allows me a little bit of leeway. The competition will still be tough, but manageable, with my strategy.

If I look on the far right attributes, only a few of the pages are directly targeting the keyword. Those that are have low PR and poor site design. This makes it a non-issue.

None of these sites are high quality authority sites. This means Google does not value any of them THAT highly, and I can pass them without raising red flags.

This is the overall process for finding good keywords for use in this strategy.

Writing happiness is a blog which was supposed to give happiness to the people by their blog writing. They were asking people to subscribe to their blog and enjoy their services. But the services are not up to the mark. The reasons to unsubscribe are detailed here.

Spam

The blog is now basically spamming the community. A lot of unwanted mails which are not related to the blog are being sent. The art of advertisement has turned into spam. The blogger is actually allowing the other promotional persons to promote their business in this blog. The problem with the corporate users is, they use a mail service which is often paid. Paying for these unwanted mails really annoys them. The total system was to help the mankind, not to disturb them with the spams.

Contents not verified

The contents of the writing happiness blog are not verified. All the contents are some sort of copy paste contents. Either they are appearing in some other blog, or the content does not have a head and a tail to be identified. Generally a reader does not find any interest reading these un-verified topics. Had the topics being verified by the moderator, the contents should have been much better. The facts of unsubscribing are yet not over which may include points like the negative outcome.

Pessimistic

The author has a tendency only to reply to the negative comments. Also not all the comments get answered. The main thought put by the author is to clear the negative doubts. But in a blog all other thought can be shared. If the blog is monitored properly then the comments would not have been posted. It is usually useless to keep one subscribed to such boring blogs where only negative thought prevails.

Turning around

The blog has taken a dramatic turn. The writer now is not keen to focus on the main objective which prompted him to open the blog. The main idea was to write the happiness and hence the name writing happiness. But with the passage of time, the quality of the contents started deteriorating and lastly has reached to such a level, that the contents are not relevant. The concept of blogging when you have something to say is used here. The writer is very keen on his own facts and does not want to focus light beyond his territory. The main aim previously used to be motivating people. Even many a people reacted strongly to these, but now it is no more.

Lack of simplicity and clarity

The blog is now lagging the concept of clarity and simplicity. There is no clarity in the writings these days. All it has become a complex architecture. The use of point to point conversation, which is now used in the blogs, is not maintained. The lack of present tense use has destroyed the clarity of the whole blog.

Conclusion

It is always advisable to unsubscribe from such blogs. They are pasting the unwanted contents and are always in the mood to advertise and earn from it. If the number of subscribers increases their revenue increases. To do so, they are spoiling a lot of hard earned bucks and time. In short it is also a misuse of the bandwidth a person is using.

Photo or image editing is not just a professional job anymore. Millions of people take photos and want to make them just a little better. You shouldn’t have to use a heavy weight application such as Photoshop, every time you want to do some brightness or tone adjusting. Fortunately, there exist a number of alternatives that are less taxing on your device and that don’t expect you to be a technical ninja. Easy to use but the program is the best for lightweight image editing.

GIMP

This is actually an alternative to Photoshop, but it is much smaller and faster to install. It works on Windows, Mac and Linux. It is free to download and use. Granted it is not as powerful as Photoshop, but at the same time, gimp satisfies most users’ needs. If you are on a desktop or laptop, you might want to consider this before you spend the big bucks on Photoshop.

Pixelmator

This is an application solely meant for Macs. However, it does offer some nifty functionality. Again, it is not as powerful as Photoshop, but many designers have found it to be very useful and have created some wonderful projects with it. It has a neat interface and lets you do a lot of editing. You can move around objects, create layers, and do tasks that you do with Photoshop, in a shorter period of time.

Photoshop Express

If you still believe that Adobe has the best tools, you can try their free online photo editing service called Photoshop Express. As with all express edition software, it only has basic functionality. You need to sign up with Adobe. You can then upload your photos and modify them in whatever way you want. This is a good choice, if you are not on your computer, but still need to edit a photo.

It works very fast and you can see changes instantly. It has become popular because of its speed and if you are in a hurry, Paint.NET is the perfect tool for the job.

All the applications mentioned above free and they are much simpler than Photoshop and they do the job well. However, if you are a professional and need to create complex effects, Photoshop is still the best tool. However, you need to know that Photoshop is not the only game in town. Always use the right tool for the job you want to accomplish. If you don’t have heavy needs, try one of the above applications.

HTML is a very stable standard that is updated once in a few years. Each time it is updated, there are a few additional elements added and a few are removed. However, HTML5 is a completely different animal. Not only does it support new tags, it has tons of new features that make is easier for us to create and use interactive and animated websites that are fast and fluid.

Let’s take a brief look at the most exciting changes that are coming to the most important web standard.

Audio

With HTML5, you can embed your audio files directly onto your web page without using Adobe Flash. This is a huge feature, more important than most people might think. In the early days, people had to have Flash installed in order to listen to podcasts or streaming music because that was the only way audio could be delivered via the internet.

However, Flash has become very insecure and comes with a lot of performance hit. What’s more, mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones do not support Flash, which can potentially limit your audience. By using the <audio> tag in new browsers, you can eliminate the Flash middleman and deliver audio directly.

Video

Video suffered the same problem that audio did in the past. The new HTML5 video element ensures that you do not have to rely on Flash to deliver audio. In supported browsers, you can embed your video files such as mp4, AVI and other formats within the <video> tag. You do not have to go through the <embed> tag anymore and add a bunch of complicated information to your page.

Again, sites that use HTML5 will be equally accessible to users of tablets and phones and get a better experience. However, there are still some issues with the <video> tag because different browsers support different codecs. For instance, Google Chrome supports OGG, which is open source, and not H264, which is a proprietary but widely used format. However, these should be sorted out by the time the final HTML5 spec is issued in the next year or so.

Local Storage

This new feature allows browsers remember what you have typed within the application even after you have closed it or refreshed your page. This is done because rather than storing the text in servers, they are stored on your computer, so they can be retrieved easily.

Geolocation

This feature can be used to identify the location of your device, so websites can display appropriate content. This feature is especially important for mobile devices because you will find results that match where you are staying travelling. This makes it easier for you to find places that interest you.

Most of the new HTML5 features are supported the modern browsers. If you want to take advantage of all these new features, make sure to use modern browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer9 and above and Opera. If you have a new tablet or cellphone, most of these features are already enabled.

Designing any type of printed promotional material is fairly difficult task – for example is how to create a good brochure design. The necessity to balance the amount of information and images, incorporating the business brand, having the ability to stand out and look professional and being easy on the eye. With so many components to consider when planning a design for brochure printing, here is a simple guideline of things to avoid!

Too Much Information!

Whilst it is the common desire to give your reader as much information about your products or services, remember that pages full of blocks of text may not be very inviting to read! A brochure should have the ability to grab the attention of readers through the use of bold design and broken text – for which headings and bullet points are always a great tool to employ in such occasions. By selecting only the most important details about your business, categorised in appropriate sections and paragraphs, you will be able to avoid over-stuffing your brochure and potentially putting-off potential customers.

Full Text Brochure Design

By accentuating the points of the above section, it is helpful to break down your content with the use of imagery. Pictures and charts are a great way of not only breaking up the look of your pages, but they also convey easy and understandable information relevant to your service or product. Remember, pictures speak louder than words! Additionally, the choice of imagery needs careful selection as well as following copyright laws, and avoid using poor quality or low resolution images, as this will result in an amateurish and unprofessional representation of your business.

Neglecting the Power of Colour

Although the use of black and white colour can be extremely efficient (depending on how it is implemented into a business brand), it can have the tendency to make a printed material look unprofessional and lack the allure needed to draw in readers. Never underestimate the power of colour, but similarly understand that too many colours can result in an unfocused and shoddy attempt of design. Many businesses will have perhaps one or two specific colours incorporated into their brand design, so these colours or a separate complimentary colour should be used to build the basis of your brochure.

Flimsy Materials

Brochure printing enables businesses to produce a physical promotional item that can directly represent their credibility and reputation as well as services or products, therefore avoid using cheap flimsy paper as this will only send out the wrong impression to your potential customers. A good quality substrate will enhance a readers’ first impression and reflect your status as a trustworthy and genuine business. Couple this with a dynamic and alluring design you can be sure to represent yourself at your best!

Forgetting a Call to Action!

The whole point of brochure printing is to appeal directly to your target markets, promote your wonderful services and ask them to take action. A brochure without a call to action is of no worth. It’s that simple. Whilst you will have all of your available contact details featured, without a persuasion of perhaps “For your free no-obligation quote” or “10% off with this brochure” for example, you are not actively seeking business, just displaying it. Give your readers a reason to get in touch, and from that point you can build a rapport and hopefully turn that reader into a customer!

Overlooking Proofing

We are in a fast-moving society, and rushing any type of work will only lead to mistakes. Perhaps you have deadlines to meet? Perhaps your printer needs your brochure design as quick as possible? Whatever reason, never eliminate the importance of proof reading as it may have disastrous consequences. Just one spelling mistake can change the opinion of a reader and lead them to completely disregard your services, so check every possible detail – from grammar and spelling, to paper bleed and resolutions – this will avoid any costly amendments.

Everyone’s got ’em. You likely see the “Nike swoosh” logo everywhere you go. And you know the Texaco station at the corner by its distinctive “star.” So, you’re thinking, “My company needs a logo, too.” Maybe you want to design your own logo too.

Why create a logo for your company?

Because a logo:

visually represents your company in a graphic form (a picture is worth a thousand words, remember?)

instantly communicates your company’s essence: what it does and what it stands for

complements your company’s ongoing identity package so your customers can recognize it year after year.

But not just any logo will do. A good logo is simple yet sophisticated. Don’t be fooled that a logo design that looks simple (like the Texaco “star”) has been easy to create. Less is better, but getting to “less” requires a process of combining symbols, colors, typography, negative and positive space into a compact unit. Once these elements have been combined, they have to be refined and the best one selected. That’s why designers present several preliminary designs (called comps) for decision-makers to analyze, modify, and then accept.

What should you know about creating the right logo?

Your job as designer or decision-maker is to make sure the logo is a strong, balanced image that communicates clearly and has no clutter. The logo should be bold and easily seen at a glance. For example, on a well-designed logo, strong lines and letters show up better than thin, delicate lines and fonts.

The logo’s graphic imagery must be appropriate for the business. The graphic itself should work as a unit with the company name. It should achieve a look that’s distinctive, yet not trendy. It’s best to avoid trendy type styles and extremely tall or wide shapes. You want your logo to look good for a long time.

Choose an appropriate spot color (or two) and make note of its ink formula. The formula is a blend of various inks that’s given a PMS number so the color combination is easily communicated to the printer. You’ll refer to that PMS number when you print jobs in the future so you can be sure the color on your logo will consistently be the same.

What elements make a successful logo? Here are 10 logo design tips that professionals use:

Simple, yet sophisticated

Distinctive, bold, and graphic (no thin lines)

Not extremely tall or wide

Not trendy or old-fashioned

Looks in balance

Works well in all sizes

Works well in color or black and white

Graphic element and name work together as a unit

Communicates your business clearly

Uses graphics and fonts appropriate for your business
